Panthers’ most famous fan, Steph Curry, to bang #KeepPounding drum

The “Keep Pounding” drum started for the Panthers after former linebacker/coach Sam Mills died of cancer in 2005. “Having played in National Basketball Association championships, it’s an unforgettable experience and something that you want to be able to enjoy and embrace”, Curry said in an interview with Bleacher Report.

If you’re on social media regularly, I’m sure you’ve seen Carolina Panthers fans with the hashtag “Keep Pounding”. Curry was then asked if he felt his outfit will have an impact on the outcome of the Super Bowl. “My dad (Charlotte Hornets broadcaster Dell Curry) has had season tickets ever since”. He was one of their most high-profile fans throughout the Super Bowl run, even being brought out to the big game at Levi’s Stadium to bang the drum pregame.

Curry is great friends with Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and the Panthers are his favorite team being from North Carolina. Now at the top of the leader board with 45 wins and only 4 losses, arguably, the Warriors’ backbone is league MVP Stephen Curry. Wearing his white jersey, Curry was sacked up after Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart rushed in for a touchdown in the second quarter.
