Panthers QB Newton back on field for practice after big hits
The NFL has not released whether it will fine any of the Denver defensive players involved for their hits on Newton.

With the backlash the Denver defense has received over the last week from their helmet-to-helmet hits on Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, it was inevitable that someone was getting fined.
The suspensions were a result of several high hits to Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. And even that penalty was offset by a call on the Panthers on the same play.
Linebacker Brandon Marshall is also expected to be fined for launching himself into a helmet-to-helmet hit.
“My job is to win football games, not lobby for my health”, Newton said Wednesday, adding he feels “great” and he didn’t want to “dwell on” the previous game and the hits.
Neither Stewart nor Marshall was flagged for the hit on the field, as officials appeared to miss contact to the head on both. “We play hard and we talk about playing hard all of the time and as I said, that was a challenge”, Kubiak said. “We play hard, we’re going to continue to play hard”. He’s a big, physical basketball player and he goes to set a pick and they fall down and they call a foul on him.

According to ESPN, the league will review additional hits from the game to see if additional discipline is necessary.
