They now know their opponent: The Carolina Panthers, who beat the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 in the NFC Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

But in the end, the game was less about the future Hall of Famers under center, and more about one dominating defense.

FOX Sports will provide live-stream coverage of the NFC title game with FOX Sports Go, which can be accessed here. The news should come as no surprise as Newton is the odds-on favorite to win the NFL MVP when the award is handed out on February 6, the night before Super Bowl 50. Denver, of course, has made a habit of going to Super Bowls, reaching it for a record-tying eighth time.

“We’re not done yet”, Newton said.

“Oh, wow”, Newton said. It’s not over yet. The Broncos gave up 283.1 yards and 18.5 points during the regular season, and intercepted Tom Brady twice in Sunday’s 20-18 win in the AFC Championship Game. Carolina, a loser 12 years ago to New England, gets its second trip.

Newton will look to target star tight end Greg Olsen and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.in Sunday’s anticipated NFC Championship game.

Palmer threw four interceptions and was stripped for a pair of fumbles, while All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson fumbled a punt return in the first half.

The Cardinals are coming off a huge win in overtime over the Green Bay Packers, and head coach Bruce Arians has his team completely focused on the biggest game of their season. Jonathan Stewart rushed 9 times for 53 yards.

“When you’re in a dog fight like we were today, every play counts”, he said. “There was pressure all day”.

Fifteen seconds later, Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown. The final score says it all, 49-15, in favor of the Panthers.

Newton finished the season with 35 touchdown passes as well as 10 runs himself.

I thought the big, bad Panthers were supposed to be this big, bad, intimidating team, especially heading into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the entire conference. The Panthers responded with a Graham Gano field goal, giving them a 3-0 lead that they would not lose for the rest of the game.

The Panthers were confident and McClain’s first-quarter breakup on a deep pass down the middle intended for the speedy John Brown just boosted that confidence.

Almost as swiftly, it was 17-0.

The crowd immediately erupted into chants of “MVP! MVP!”

Carolina scored on its first three possessions of the game. They led the league in points (500) during the regular season, and against the Cardinals’ top-ranked offense they forced six turnovers by Carson Palmer.
