Panthers win 49-15, Carolina advances to Superbowl 50

Despite an NFC Championship and a defense that ranked third in the NFL, Rivera’s contract was not renewed by the Bears following a 29-17 loss to the Colts in Super Bowl XLI.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has won many games, trophies, and fans along the way, but that certainly doesn’t win over Seattle Seahawks fans.

The Denver Broncos will play the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif., on February 7.

Palmer threw three touchdown passes in Arizona’s 26-20 overtime win over Green Bay last weekend, but he looked nervous and jittery at times in his first career playoff win with two interceptions, some overthrown passes and a series of poor decisions.

The matchup for Super Bowl 50 is set, and Levi’s Stadium will play host to some old 49ers!

“I think the Super Bowl means for us as a whole from the organization, the Carolina Panthers, to everyone who wears Carolina Panthers blue and black and bleeds blue and back, it’s been a long time coming”, Newton said.

This will be Newton’s first appearance in the Super Bowl and the first for the Panthers since they lost to the Patriots in 2004.

Cornerback Bradley Roby saved the game by picking off Tom Brady’s pass on a 2-point try with 12 seconds left to preserve a 20-18 victory for the Broncos over the New England Patriots on Sunday in the AFC title game.

Cam Newton showed why he has been called “Superman” this season in the NFL.

“I don’t know that we’ve faced the dual-threat guy like him this year with our schedule”, Kubiak said.

Like his former head coach, Mike Ditka, did in 1986, Rivera is looking to become a Super Bowl-winning head coach for the first time.

“Playing the sheriff”, Newton said of Manning. “That will be our main focus, to focus in on who we play, and that’s Denver, to focus on their players, to focus on what we do”.

With Carolina leading 3-0, Ginn fielded a punt and weaved through traffic for a 32-yard return to set the Panthers up in Arizona territory. “We’ll get it figured out, and I’ll be ready in two weeks”. Six plays later, he took a pitch from Newton, headed left and broke a tackle by Justin Bethel.

Arizona finally moved into Carolina territory, only to see Kawann Short sack Palmer and strip the ball.

It wasn’t obvious by looking at it, but Davis said his arm was broken. Newton had the dagger touchdown from 12 yards out.
