The vehicle is gold with black stripes down the middle, with a Kentucky license plate of “PZZA1”.
Check out our interview from Saturday talking about the Papa John’s vehicle.
Detroit Police Sgt. Cassandra Lewis reported that the third theft – a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro owned by the Papa John’s Pizza corporation – is being investigated.
The hauler and truck were found Sunday morning, but the auto has not been recovered according to Detroit police. A black, 1966 Chevelle was stolen overnight and a 1966 Corvette was stolen Saturday afternoon. He used leftover funds to start the original Papa John’s restaurant in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He sold it in 1983 to help save his father’s tavern. In 2009, after years of searching, Schnatter bought it back.
ABC World News Tonight was there when Schnatter was reunited with the auto in 2010.
It was brought to the Motor City for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise.

The one-day automotive event is billed as the nation’s largest, drawing about 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year, organizers have said.
