“The main objective of the referral was to notify security officials that classified information may exist on at least one private server and thumb drive that are not in the government’s possession”, the two watchdogs stated. “We are actively cooperating”, Kendall confirmed to the Post.
In late July, a minimum of one inspector common requested the Justice Division for an investigation into ‘s use of a personal e mail account for official enterprise whereas she was secretary of state.
At this point the FBI’s probe is said to be preliminary, focusing only on how classified information was handled.
Clinton released seven years of tax returns, posting her filings from 2007 to 2014 on her campaign website. We want to ensure that appropriate procedures are followed as these emails are reviewed while not unduly delaying the release of her emails. “I really hope that it will be as quickly as possible”.
She turned over 55,000 pages of emails to the State Department in December, and chunks of the records are being slowly released. She has said she deleted all other emails she had sent or received as secretary of state, indicating that they dealt only with personal matters.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into the security used to protect Hillary Clinton’s private email system, David Kendall, Clinton’s lawyer, said Tuesday.
“The Clintons don’t want any stories about what she did with this email server”, Graham says.
Michael Smigiel Esq., a Republican, who previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates-including ten years on the Judiciary Committee-and who has twenty-six years of experience as a criminal defense an appellate attorney-unequivocally believes Hillary Clinton should face criminal charges. Because it was not marked as classified, it is unclear whether Clinton realized she was potentially compromising classified information.
According to the Post, the bureau is not investigating Clinton herself, but rather the security behind the unusual email setup. Cooper declined to comment.
First was a doctor’s note giving Clinton a clean bill of health – innocuous, though a reminder that at 67, she’d be among the older presidents to take office. And it had numerous safeguards.
Clinton has not been formally accused of any wrongdoing.
Criticism of Clinton’s use of the private account has become a nagging headache for her amid her presidential campaign this year. Bryan Pagliano, a former IT director for Clinton’s 2008 campaign, was brought into oversee the second server. According to federal campaign finance records, Pagliano was paid by Clinton’s Senate leadership PAC through April 2009.
The State Department said the new team of intelligence experts was put in place to resolve the issue.
The email system was not always reliable, these people said, with Pagliano summoned at various times to fix problems.
He was also reportedly responsible for the private server while at the department, including when the system briefly crashed during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

Dr. Richard E. Vatz, Professor of Political Persuasion at Towson University, also believes Hillary Clinton’s behavior was unethical, and said prospective primary voters should take those actions into account.
