Parachutists injured in US air show
Hernandez said witnesses told first responders that at least one of the parachutists collided with a building in the lakefront Gold Coast neighborhood, but the Fire Department had not confirmed whether that was the case.

Myers said he thought the man was wearing a mask or helmet.
Dixon said the men had been performing a stunt known as a “bomb burst”, during which they circle each other in the air while separated by red smoke. The Golden Knight’s condition, however, is far more serious, although the extent of his injuries has not been revealed. The Leap Frog was expected to be discharged Saturday night, but the Golden Knight remained in near-critical condition.
One woman said a parachutist swiped the side of her neighbor’s building at 1400 N. Lake Shore Dr.
The two men were injured at about 11 a.m. Connecticut (12 a.m. EDT) during the Chicago Air & Water Show, the newspaper said, citing Chicago Fire Department Deputy Chief Julie Coy.
She said he looked unconscious as he hit the roof. Other witnesses said he then went into trees, where firefighters brought him down.
One of the performers is with the U.S. Navy’s Leap Frogs team, according to WBBM-TV. The Chicago Transit Authority and Metra are providing additional service for the event. The parachute jumps for both the Army and Navy have been cancelled for Sunday. The Navy jumper suffered a broken leg.
The other man is a member of the Navy Leap Frogs. “I wasn’t sure if that was part of the show”.
