Relatives told Primer Impacto the tips of Perez’s fingers were bruised and the viewing window on her coffin had been smashed.
Medics tried their best to revive the youngster but found no signs of life.
Ms Perez, who was three months pregnant, reportedly fell unconscious after waking up in the night to use the outside toilet at her home in La Entrada, western Honduras.
Doctors believe Ms Perez may have suffered a severe panic attack which could have temporarily stopped her heart activity.
After being taken out of the coffin, she started foaming at the mouth, leading her parents to believe she was possessed.
Perez was then taken to hospital but was again declared dead.
Relatives of a pregnant Honduran teenager, who had been buried after being pronounced dead at a hospital, broke down her tomb and pulled out her coffin after apparently hearing banging from the inside.
Footage shows frantic relatives smashing into the concrete tomb of recently buried Neysi Perez, 16, after they said they heard her screaming from inside.
A furious cousin told local press: “Once we had taken her out of the tomb I put my hand on her body”.
At first Gonzales thought he was “imagining” the cries because “he wanted to be near her”, but then claims he he heard her voice screaming and called in her family and the cemetary worker in a desperate attempt to free his wife. Her husband, Rudy Gonzalez, heard banging coming from inside.
He said: ‘I convinced myself that the screams were coming from somewhere else. He confided in Perez’s mother who also thought she had heard similar sounds. A day after she was buried, the family went and visited her tomb and that was when it got very unusual and frightening.
Doctor Claudia Lopez recalled: ‘The whole family rushed in, nearly breaking the door down, carrying the girl in her casket.

It is likely she died of suffocation when she woke in the coffin, doctors said. The family from Honduras truly believed that they were going to have their daughter back after she had been buried alive, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be.
