“I just want them to be good enough to play for Crystal Palace”, said the former Newcastle United boss.

The Premier League trio have been alerted by the Fulham striker’s impressive performances this campaign ahead of the January transfer window, with further reports suggesting the likes of AS Monaco and Roma have already offered the youngster a pre-contract deal.

He said: “Charlie Austin is of no interest to us”.

“Neil Warnock? Neil Warnock was manager here and he didn’t do very well so I am not really interested in his opinion”, said Pardew.

“I’ve seen the names that have been linked with us and not one of them is true”. “Somebody’s giving out some false information. We are looking at one or two but it is not the names being linked with us”.

Crystal Palace have suffered with injuries this season but Pardew believes the side are over the worst of it with Bakary Sako available for this weekend and Dwight Gayle and Connor Wickham scheduled to be fit to face Aston Villa on Tuesday.

‘This market is going to be very hard for all Premier League teams. “Steve Parish and myself are in contact every day about the issues we feel we have”.

“There’s a little bit less of pressure on us, but that’s not to say we’re not in business if we think it’s right”. “That will give us an extra weapon”, said the manager.
