Paris Attacks: UK Prime Minister David Cameron Puts Security Level At ‘Severe’
British citizens may be among the 120 or more people killed in a wave of terrorist violence in Paris overnight, Prime Minister David Cameron said in a statement as he offered condolences and help to France. The Foreign Office said it is “urgently investigating” whether any British nationals have been caught up in the shootings or hostage-taking.

“We in the United Kingdom face the same threat”, he added. “We will do whatever we can to help”, he said on Twitter. Your pain is our pain, your fight is our fight.
Urging the public to “remain vigilant”, he said: “we will do all we can to support our police and intelligence agencies with the resources and the capabilities they need”. “The attack showed the threat posed by Islamic State militants was evolving”, Cameron added.
President Francois Hollande, who was at the match, headed for crisis talks with Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve at the interior ministry.
“Prince Philip and I have been deeply shocked and saddened by the awful loss of life in Paris”.
Cameron will chair the meeting of the committee, known as Cobra, later on Saturday in London, where at the French embassy, the flag had been lowered to fly at half-mast.

Terrorist attacks were staged at different locations in Paris on Friday, including the Bataclan concert hall and the Stade de France stadium.
