The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested and charged a police officer from the Paris, Tennessee Police Department in connection to the death of his infant son earlier this month. The agency began investigating the incident immediately at the request of 24th District Attorney General Matthew Stowe.
The infant was the son of Paris police officer Christopher Page.
An arrest warrant says the former officer confessed that he caused the injuries that killed his 3-month-old son.
Five days later, the little boy succumbed to his injuries.
TBI agents arrested Page on Thursday.
Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew said his department is not handling the case because of a conflict of interest with “work relationships”.
He was subsequently booked into the Henry County Jail.

During the investigation, it was revealed the child’s father, Christopher Warren Page, was the individual responsible for his death.
