Paris terror: Police dog killed
A police dog has been hailed a hero after he was killed during an anti-terror raid on an apartment in Paris.

The raid in the Paris suburb, which involved at least 100 French police, ended in the death of three people, including the suspected mastermind behind the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud.
Sadly, the French force lost their police dog, Diesel, after a female suicide bomber blew herself up.
“Diesel”, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois Shepherd “was killed by terrorists in the current operation in Saint-Denis”, Police Nationale posted on their twitter page.
The presumed mastermind of last week’s devastating attacks in Paris once bragged about being so slippery he could move undetected between Syria and Belgium, his home country.
Paris police chief Jean-Michel Fauvergue told the French newspaper Le Parisien that Diesel “probably saved the lives of policemen who were about to enter“.
The announcement has since been shared more than 11,000 times, compared to just 1,600 for the previous tweet announcing that five police officers were injured. The siege against the terror suspects took place in the early morning, and before it was over two were dead and the authorities had seven in custody.
And the hashtag #JeSuisChien started trending on Twitter.
“Our four-legged friends also serve the police, protecting society from terrorist threats”, the Moscow police service said.

One woman, reportedly Abaaoud’s wife, died after detonating a suicide belt, according to reports, while up to seven jihadis were arrested, including a man and woman detained outside the apartment.
