The boxer said he has undergone random checks twice by Britain’s anti-doping agency in the last two weeks, ahead of his first defence of the title against American Dominic Breazeale in London on Saturday.

The tough-chinned Breazeale took some solid shots in the previous six rounds, before this barrage. So now I look forward to getting my break.

Reaction to the bout saw viewers stunned by the overwhelming dominance and power of Joshua. When a badly hurt Breazeale returned to this feet, right eye swollen badly through the sharp jabs of the 26-year-old Joshua, the reigning IBF heavyweight champion went in for the kill.

Breazeale managed to pull himself together and continue but he was floored again by a vicious left that ended the contest.

Also, Kevin Barry, Parker’s trainer stated that Joshua will probably beat Breazeale (17-0).

“The main thing is I really want to catch up with my family and spend some time at home”.

However, having postponed his July 9 rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on Friday (Saturday NZ time) due to a ankle injury, it has since been reported that Fury is the subject of a doping investigation. He said that “Breazeale’s a ideal opponent for Joshua”, because Parker’s future counterpart had 16 opponents created to make him look glorious., which implies that Joshua had not had the chance to encounter a real challenge.

WBC champion Deontay Wilder will face fellow American Chris Arreola a week later. Price was recently put back into the IBF’s top 15, making him eligible as an opponent for Joshua.

“I was looking at Tyson Fury and I hope he gets better soon because I was hoping to get that in the winter”, Joshua said. I think Fury’s title reign will be as short as Douglas’ unfortunately.

“Now I want rest, to recharge my batteries before I get to it again”.

It is that brutal destruction of his opponents which has made Joshua the overwhelming favourite with bookmakers for tomorrow’s bout, the fulcrum of Sky Sports’ pay-per-view boxing platform and the fifth most marketable athlete in the world, according to SportsPro magazine.

“Ali is an inspirational person, inside and outside of the ring”. “He was patient, avoiding my punches, and I had to take my time”.
