Party unity hangs over start of DNC in Philadelphia
Their anger intensified after the emergence of Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails, published by Wilileaks, which revealed a plot by officials to smear Mr Sanders and support his establishment rival, Ms Clinton.

A statement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that it is “investigating a cyber intrusion involving the DNC”, adding that “a compromise of this nature is something we take very seriously”.
The Clinton camp questioned whether Russians may have had a hand in the hack attack on the party’s emails in an effort to help Trump, who has exchanged words of praise with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Watch how he’s introduced: Hillary Clinton has joked that she’s still working on what to call her husband if she’s elected, offering “first dude” and “first mate” as possibilities.
Trump dismissed the suggestion in a tweet: “The joke in town is that Russian Federation leaked the disastrous DNC emails, which should never have been written (stupid), because Putin likes me”.
The result is foreordained, but the roll call of the states will nonetheless be an emotional coda for Bernie Sanders supporters whose passion and energy took the Vermont senator from fringe candidate to serious contender. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairperson of the Democratic National Committee, is out and did not even gavel in the convention.
For now, though, the Democratic Party is not one big, happy family. No one was arrested Sunday or Monday as of 6:44 p.m., a police spokesperson told Philly Mag.
She says bankers, oil companies and giant corporations benefit “when we turn on each other”.
The Democratic delegates were staunchly opposed to Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. They booed whenever Clinton’s name was evoked and erupted into chants of “Bernie!”
Egloff said that though Kaine “on his worst day is a thousand times better” than GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence, a more progressive candidate could have solidified some of the “olive branch-type measures” Clinton has endorsed recently.
“He’s just sort of given up”, Trump said.
“I definitely think it’s a lot easier for delegates from states like California, which is where you’re hearing so much of the dissent, it’s much easier for those delegates to say they’re not going to back Hillary because they’re coming out of states that no Democrat could lose”, Winebrake said.
Georgia Democratic Party Chairman DuBose Porter, also on the floor in Philly, believes the party can move forward especially in light of Sanders’ support of Clinton.

In a May 13 email Wasserman Schultz criticizes Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver, writing, “He is an A _ _”, tagging the message with her initials, “DWS”.
They tried storming the convention but in the end, they got stormed on. “We’re stronger together”, Bucaro said. In a speech Monday he told the DNC Chair: “You’re fired”.

Days after the Republican National Convention ended in Cleveland, the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia was marked by pro-Bernie Sanders protesters being placed in handcuffs by police.
