Pastor’s pregnant wife dies after being shot in home invasion robbery

Amanda Blackburn, 28, was pronounced dead Wednesday after being shot during a home robbery. “Davey served as a Youth Pastor, Production Director, and Associate Campus Pastor before NewSpring helped Resonate plant in 2012”. The Blackburns moved to Indianapolis to start the Resonate Church, according to the Indianapolis Star. “My wife was such a handsome, gracious, loving woman of God”.

‘Investigators are working on leads that detectives have been receiving, ‘ Adams told ABC News. Members prayed and consoled each other in a chapel located in the church’s upper level called The Loft. He wrote on his church face book “I can not thank you enough for the unbelievable outpouring of love that you have shared with my family over the past few days, We are going to have church this Sunday, just like we always do”.

Blackburn said that although his pain is great, he trusts God to take what the darkness meant for evil and turn it around for good.

Noble sat down with FOX Carolina on Thursday and said he is amazed at the strength of Davey’s faith in the midst of this tragedy and said he w certain that Amanda was making heaven an even brighter place.

Individuals from NY, California and as far as Africa and Australia have offered their prayers on the Facebook page of the Resonate Church. But it was too late – she died, reportedly 12 weeks pregnant. When he came home, he found her injured and called 911.

Davey Blackburn said he came home to find his wife shot.

Converse said that the Blackburns’ dog greeted investigators when they arrived at the home, and the couple’s young son had been in the house at the time of the incident, though he was upstairs in his crib.

“We know who killed her. At least we have a picture of him, but we don’t know the name”, he said, adding that the suspect was seen near the Blackburn’s home.

Adams also confirmed that part of the investigation is focusing on whether the Blackburn break-in is connected to other recent break-ins in the area.

“There is no way to prepare yourself for circumstances like these”, he said in the statement.

Police say they have ruled out Blackburn’s husband Davey Blackburn as a potential suspect.

Police are holding a press conference on Friday and said more information would hopefully be released at that time, but much of the information they have is only known by the robber and they do not want that released yet.
