Elected governor of NY in an historic upset over Democratic incumbent Mario Cuomo in 1994, Pataki went on to serve three terms in Albany, opting not to seek re-election in 2006.
George Pataki has chose to end his presidential bid.
The two minute ad was broadcast on NBC stations in Iowa, New Hampshire and SC during “Chicago Med” something Pataki got for free thanks to equal time requirements after Donald Trump hosted “Saturday Night Live” last month.
“In the latest WBUR poll of New Hampshire Republicans, where Pataki spent most of his time campaigning, he had 0 percent support”, the Boston Globe reported.
Pataki’s campaign did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.
In bowing out, Pataki joins fellow former Govs.
The former governor also never made it onto a main debate stage and has had trouble raising funds.
“Somebody else dropped out, but there’s not much to split up because he was at zero”, Trump said, noting that usually when a candidate drops out he tries to figure out where his supporters will move to.

Pataki told USA Today in November that he would drop out if another candidate who could unite the party emerged. Currier said he had gotten a personal call from Ohio Gov. John Kasich along with calls from the campaigns of Donald Trump, Florida Sen.
