Arsenal are continuing their search for a new striker after opening talks with Lyon over a move for Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports.
“He wants a Champions League adventure that is far better than the previous one. I think that he will stay with us and we are very happy.” .
Lacazette has netted over 20 goals in each of his last seasons at Les Gones.
However, the Ligue 1 side have had no formal or informal discussions with Arsenal about 25-year-old Lacazette, with Aulas even revealing that boss Arsene Wenger has had plenty of opportunities to begin a conversation about the player if he wanted to.
As a result, Lyon will hold out for a bid of £42m for Lacazette, which Arsenal are now unwilling to offer, and the stalemate could lead to Wenger investigating other avenues.
One man who could be on the move from Lyon, however, is attacking midfielder Valbuena.
Aulas confirmed the 31-year-old attacker was a target for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
