Patriots add Aaron Dobson to injury report for Monday night

Amendola rewarded fantasy football players with a solid outing, as he caught nine passes for 117 yards to soften the blow of losing Edelman.

The Patriots announced in the second half that Dobson’s ankle injury would keep him out for the rest of the game. The Pats basically have the division locked up already and a win here would put the team in prime position for home field advantage in the AFC for the playoffs. If Amendola is out against the Broncos, Tom Brady and company will struggle to score points. Dobson started the game in place of the injured Julian Edelman, who had surgery to fix a broken bone in his foot. Rookie Chris Harper was promoted from the practice squad and joins Danny Amendola and Brandon LaFell as the team’s receivers not on the injury report, although they could also use special teams ace Matthew Slater at wideout in a pinch.

Running back Dion Lewis is out for the season with a knee injury, but tight end Rob Gronkowski has managed to stay healthy throughout the season. He has missed 26 career games since 2009.

As for Collins not practicing, I am starting to doubt he will be in uniform for the Patriots this week. Blount comes in after rushing for 66 yards and a TD last week and he should get some touches for the Pats on Monday night.
