Patriots list Garoppolo as doubtful for Texans game

I want New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo to be able to play this Thursday against the Houston Texans, but the more I hear about Garoppolo’s shoulder, the less comfortable I feel with the situation.

Garoppolo was a limited participant in the Patriots’ practice on Wednesday.

Jimmy Garoppolo has officially been listed as doubtful on the New England Patriots’ injury report for Week 3. “When Jacoby went in there (Sunday), I thought he handled the game really well, good poise”, O’Brien said of Brissett, who completed 6-of-9 passes for 92 yards in Sunday’s 31-24 victory over Miami.

“It’s been a learning process since I got here, as it will be throughout my career, ” said Brissett.

On Thursday night, will we see the final great leap forward back to Cyborg Watt, like in 2012? “Whether I was the backup or I was playing past year, I wanted to show up and get better every single day. There was a coach that told me ‘If you’re not getting better, you’re getting replaced'”.

Belichick did explain on Tuesday that injured quarterbacks could be “game-time decisions” just like players at any other position, even though offensive game plans are so dependent on who is behind center.

Brissett was actually taken a few picks after the Texans selected wide receiver Braxton Miller. While Hopkins leads the team with 12 receptions and two touchdowns, Fuller (club-best 211 receiving yards) has stepped up in a hurry by becoming the third wideout to start his National Football League career with two straight 100-yard receiving games.

“No matter what we do, you know you’ve just got to be ready and prepared to go out there and play, ” he said. “He’s a smart guy, I know he’s very smart”.

The current Texans quarterback said it isn’t easy as some may think. With Brady in his late 30s, he continues to work just as hard as anyone when it comes to his training regimen, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have him sit out a drill here or there in the name of getting sufficient rest to start the season. “He has improved steadily since he has been here since back in the draft, in May, all the way through”. I completely understand why things transpired the way they did.
