Patriots may have QB Brissett out with injury

One week after losing Tom Brady’s backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, to a banged-up shoulder, the team is dealing with an injury to rookie passer Jacoby Brissett.

The New England Patriots, down to their third string quarterback, pulled through in unified fashion to defeat a then undefeated and extremely explosive Houston Texans team.

New England improved to 3-0 while four-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is serving his “Deflategate” suspension.

“I tried forcing the football where the football probably shouldn’t have gone”, Osweiler said.

“It’s just been preparing every day”.

This staring contest wasn’t even close, a high-profile case of the New England Patriots exploiting a troublesome tendency of Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler. But this is the Patriots we’re talking about. The 2014 second-round draft pick had completed 71.2 percent of his passes for 496 yards with four touchdowns to no interceptions before the injury.

The Texans entered the game with the NFL’s third-ranked defense and nine sacks through two games, but they struggled to put pressure on the 23-year-old quarterback. Hopefully we can get him back. “I just care about the Jets”.

The strategy worked, with Brissett avoiding costly mistakes and adding a unique dimension to a Patriots attack that has traditionally sprouted squarely out of the pocket. “They know that it’s only the third game of the season and they’re going to work very, very hard to correct the mistakes, and they’re going to work very hard on Tennessee”.

The status of Garoppolo, who was inactive in Week 3 after winning his first two National Football League starts, will determine the course of action the Patriots (3-0) take for Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills.

What makes the Patriots execution so impressive is that the Texans saw it happening in front of their face and they weren’t able to do anything about it. I’ll become a better quarterback for this experience.

Among the prominent quarterback names now available are Michael Vick, T.J. Yates, Tarvaris Jackson, Josh Freeman and Jimmy Clausen. “Definitely great to see all the players run up to me”. They took care of him by running away from Watt and usually to the backside.

It was New England’s first shutout since December 30, 2012, and it was the first time the Texans were blanked since December 7, 2003.
