New England Patriots left tackle Nate Solder announced Monday evening that his infant son, Hudson, has cancer. Actually, I totally forgot about myself on October 19, the day that our three-month old baby boy was diagnosed with cancerous tumors in both of his kidneys.

Solder, now on season-ending injured reserve with a biceps injury, was diagnosed with testicular cancer past year and was treated before the season.

Solder’s son, born in July, has already undergone chemotherapy treatments at Boston Children’s Hospital, according to the Herald.

Solder tweeted a photo Monday night of his son smiling wearing a shirt that says “Tough like my dad”. We wish all the best to the Hudson and the Solder family during this hard time.
