Patriots RB Lewis suffers torn ACL
The injury will force the Patriots to rely even more on running back LaGarrette Blount, who rushed for 129 yards on a career-high 29 carries on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: This is tough news for the Patriots and fantasy owners.
Lewis was hurt Sunday after catching a 14-yard screen pass. His left leg buckled as he tried to make a cut, causing him to grab for his leg as he went down.
Lewis was injured with 5:40 remaining in the third quarter of Sunday’s 27-10 win over the Washington Redskins. It was reported that his ACL appeared to be loose, though there was minimal swelling, and he underwent an MRI Monday. Indeed, the ordinarily zero-tolerance Bill Belichick has put up with fumbles and drops from Lewis, given his unique skill set.
The Patriots announced they placed Lewis on injured reserve. His performance had been limited in Week 6 against the Colts, when he turned in season lows in touches (seven) and yards (39).

Lewis entered the day with 220 yards on 45 carries with two touchdowns, as well as 32 receptions for 349 yards and two touchdowns.
