Odell Beckham didn’t get to play in the Giants’ preseason finale on Thursday night, but he still might’ve come out as the game’s biggest victor. Once the 2016 season kicks off, Brady will officially serve his four-game suspension, which was handed down to him by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit due to his involvement in the Deflategate scandal. He has never made a roster after training camp, but he played in two games with the Bucs in 2014. “We did a decent job of moving the ball, but we turned it over too many times”.
For Brady, it will be his second appearance this preseason after missing one week and sitting out another following a sliced thumb injury. But Brady himself wasn’t flawless either, as the star quarterback finished the night with a lower passer rating than backup Jacoby Brissett, at just 76.8, and he wasn’t able to find the end-zone in the team’s second red zone opportunity. His sixth and final series was a knee at the half.
“The Patriots have always been a team I didn’t really like because they were always winning”, Beckham said.
Recent addition Barkevious Mingo saw his first action as a member of the New England Patriots last night. The Giants are at Dallas. There is definitely a big risk in going after Josh Gordon but it is definitely worth a shot because if he gets suspended again or he plays poorly the Patriots can just release him or trade him to another team.
“We can now turn the page on some tough decisions that we have to make over this weekend”. For now, we have to go out there and play the way that he motivates us, and the way he leads us to play.
