Patton Oswalt remembers late wife in touching Twitter post

Oswalt’s statement about his late wife was in response to another tweet urging well-wishers to make a donation in McNamara’s honor to 826LA, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children in developing creative writing skills.

On April 21, Michelle McNamara died in her sleep at the age of 46. While the brunette beauty’s death came as a complete shock to her family, it may actually be months until it is revealed what caused the writer’s passing.

McNamara is said to have been free of known medical conditions, with no prior warning signs her health might have been in danger.

Michelle founded the website True Crime Diary, which covered breaking stories and cold cases.

In a 2007 online interview, McNamara said she started the blog nearly as a lark.

McNamara and Oswalt married in 2005.

She wrote about the Golden State Killer and the 1976 murder of nurse Melanie Howell. “Everything you do is a memory of her.’ – Alice Oswald, 7”, the 47-year-old Veep actor shared with fans. Besides her husband, McNamara is survived by a seven-year-old daughter, Alice.
