“I think that the debt is a great threat, I think it’s a threat to the very foundation of our country”, he said early on in his speech, eliciting a large round of applause. Cruz explains that his loyalties lies to the American citizens, not big corporations who benefit from the cheap labor practice. “As President, I will take immediate steps to pass legislation or a constitutional amendment to end birthright citizenship”.

President Barack Obama says it’s wrong to equate attacks like those that happened in Paris with Islam.
“This is a group that is not contained [but] growing in its capabilities [and] external operations”, he said, adding the group has established a presence in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya and were threatening US allies Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Paul was one of many candidates who spoke at the GOP Sunshine Summit in Orlando today, and he said that with Paris on everyone’s minds, it’s important to be “extraordinarily cautious” about who’s coming into the United States. “Under no circumstances should legal immigration levels be adjusted upwards so long as work-force participation rates remain below historical averages”, he said.
His comments reflect increased tension between not only Rubio and Paul, but also between Rubio and Sen. For most of the campaign, Cruz has stressed that he “celebrates” legal immigration and wants to streamline the process.
Figuring that the best defense is a good offense, Rubio told reporters, “I don’t think our positions are dramatically different; Ted is a supporter of legalizing people that are in this country illegally”.
The fact is that all illegals have committed at least one crime: entering the country illegally.

Rubio said something similar Thursday; Cruz said he “laughed out loud” when he heard it. “If you are supporting amnesty, you are supporting the Ayatollah Khamenei having nuclear weapons in Iran”.
