Paul on Trump’s decision to boycott debate: ‘Good riddance’
During the Factor interview, Trump also continued to criticize Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Trump had been making a stink about Kelly, even offering supporters a chance to vote yes or no on whether he should even show up to the debate because the “biased” journalist will be there with him.
After some social media broadsides, Trump appeared to make peace with Fox News, appearing on “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Fox and Friends” for largely cordial exchanges. “I didn’t like the fact that they sent out press releases toying, talking about Putin, and playing games”.
Once again, Donald Trump is proving that when it comes to his 2016 campaign playbook, there are no rules.
He added, “Without me they’d have no ratings!” The Republican presidential frontrunner said that he took the decision in this regard after press statements from Fox News.
“If past performance is any indication of future coverage, we’ll all be talking about Trump Friday morning”, Strawn said.
On her programme on Tuesday, Ms Kelly observed: “What’s interesting here is Trump is not used to not controlling things, as the chief executive of a large organisation”.
The real-estate mogul announced that he was refusing to participate in the Fox debate on Tuesday, after a back and forth between himself and the network.
While it is yet to be seen whether he will attend, Kelly will continue to be on her set of “The Kelly File” laughing off Trump’s claims that he discovered her, “I don’t think he really means a statement like that”. He went on to tell Hannity that Trump’s running away from Kelly proves that he would likely do the same when face-to-face with other powerful world leaders.
“It was a taunt, and I said, ‘How much do you take?'” Trump said, calling the statement “childish”. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, also a Republican candidate, said he wanted to focus on keeping the party united so as to beat Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state, in November if she becomes the Democratic nominee. What’s different this time around is Trump has started to personally attack the network’s powerful chairman, Roger Ailes, who has professed to be friendly with in the past.
Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler blasted Trump’s decision as “erratic” and foolish behavior from a presidential hopeful, especially considering a large segment of voters say they have not finalized their support for a candidate. At the time, Kelly angered Trump by questioning him about the disparaging comments he’s made about women’s appearances.

“If Donald is afraid of [Fox’s] Megyn Kelly, I would like to invite him in your show to participate in a 1-on-1 debate between me and Donald”, said candidate Ted Cruz.
