“Juventus will always be a part of me and I will always miss, love and be grateful to the club, the team and especially the supporters”. They can not offer champions league football however they have still managed to sign players from clubs in the Champions League which implies that the name Manchester United still carries weight across the globe.

Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, and Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal coach, have both criticized the Pogba deal for its vast sum, something that has clearly irked Mourinho.

Former Juventus attacking midfielder Jose Altafini sparked controversy today when he claimed that Manchester United star signing Paul Pogba has not improved over the past two seasons. “This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game”.

“He has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond”, Mourinho said.

“Everyone is interested in Pogba”.

“They spend an incredible amount of money and, with what the fans are paying, what Sky are paying, we need to be seeing the best players over here rather than watching teams struggle like insane in the Champions League”.

However, re-joining the club he left in 2012 proved more alluring – even though United are readying themselves for Europa League action – given Pogba’s desire to get to the top individually and collectively.

Parlour, however, believes Pogba could be afforded more freedom in a similar system at United this season.

“The value of a player is dependent on his talent, the expected strengthening of the team, his age and of course his resale value”, Wenger said, speaking at the launch of the Premier League on Wednesday.

The Frenchman made just seven first-team appearances for United, all off the bench. “We [didn’t] have what I used to call the second midfield player”, he explained of United’s record-breaking recruit. “He came here by himself”, said Yeo, laughing at the memory of Ferguson’s visit.

“It is hard to explain so much in a few lines but I made a decision guided by my heart and nothing else”.

Carragher goes on to hail Pogba as a brilliant signing and a sign that the Premier League can once again attract the very best players in the world.
