Paul Pogba passes Manchester United medical
Jose Mourinho said he is confident Paul Pogba will pass his Manchester United medical without a hitch because he has seen photographs of the Frenchman doing “kung-fu, karate, running, basketball and football” on his Instagram account.

The 23-year-old midfielder was seen entering the Red Devils’ training base on Monday afternoon after he flew into Manchester airport in the morning, with the midfielder wearing a black cap and sunglasses as he arrived to the ground in a red vehicle.
Speaking after United beat Leicester 2-1 to win the Community Shield, Mourinho spoke of his delight at closing in on his top summer target.
“It’s an fantastic situation that such a great player is with us”, Mourinho said to BT Sport after the Community Shield. We have everything to give him.
Boss Massimiliano Allegri was asked if he had identified transfer targets to replace Pogba in his squad but he said: “I’ve summoned Pogba together with (Patrice) Evra tomorrow night. I understand why Manchester United are buying him, but I question the price”.
When the deal is completed, it is set to break the world record transfer fee and is expected to be around £95 million plus £20m in agent fees. “If you want to be the best player in the world, if you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid you are in trouble because I don’t think the other two big guys will let you”.
United were keen to extend Pogba’s contract but the teenager was frustrated by a lack of first-team chances and made a decision to leave to the frustration of then United manager Alex Ferguson.
It is believed that United could end up spending about £89 million (R1.5 billion) on the star midfielder, and Mourinho has now had his say on the fee that may be required to land the player, stating that the amount of money repoted may not seem insane in a few years’ time.
“He [Paul Pogba] is a fantastic player”, Mourinho told reporters. A move for Pogba would boost United’s chances of not only qualifying for the Champions League but also winning the Premier League this season.
“I was sat on the bench and someone said “it has got to be the big man” and he delivered”, added the 21-year-old. “Hopefully everything goes well”.
