Paul Pogba sets three incredible targets for Man United career

Manchester United says Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical examination to finalize his transfer to the English club from Juventus. “First time a huge foreign star in his prime has come to England”, he wrote on Twitter. So I was thinking: “‘why not?’ I’m sure he can make me improve and make me a better player and a better person”.

“Everyone associated with Juventus Football Club would like to thank Paul for his unforgettable four years of service and wish him the very best upon his return to England with Manchester United”.

“First my mum told me I would come back here and I told her, “You never know, we’ll see”. It doesn’t even look like it’s my new team – I just left this team and have just come back.

“When I first came, I remember when I was at the academy, they used come and drop us”, Pogba added.

“This deal is a statement of intent by Manchester United after several years of under-performance”.

The front five of Ibrahimovic, Rooney, Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pogba has plenty of goals, power and quality in it, an upgrade on what Louis van Gaal had last season.

“But sometimes one has to be prioritised over the others and the priority at this moment in time has to be win the league, to get rid of the myth that they can’t cope without Sir Alex Ferguson, to stop the years building up so that three becomes six becomes 10, like it has done for United before, like it has done for Liverpool now”. “Just a month after making his bow for the club at home to Chievo in September 2012, the then 19-year-old would net his first Juventus goal against Napoli in a move that has since become synonymous with the Frenchman: one touch on the edge of the box, a sight of goal and an unstoppable finish into the corner”. He joined Juventus, which reportedly had to pay 800,000 pounds (now around $1 million).

That was the last straw for a player who was desperate for a chance to impress his manager. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford.

Mourinho may have signed the midfielder he believes can drive United to glory, but it is now about so much more than what happens on the pitch.

“When I heard some of the comments and heard some of the managers criticizing that, I don’t think they ever have this problem because, to have this problem, you need to be at one of the top clubs in the world”, Mourinho said.

“He looks like a kid who is back to his old school and is finding people that he cares about and people that love him a lot”.

Ian McHale, professor of sports analytics at the University of Salford, said: “We simulated the result of every match of the season with and without Pogba and Ibrahimovic in United’s side”.
