Paul Reubens Will Play the Penguin’s Father on Gotham
Let’s hope Oswald’s father is a slightly more stable influence than his mother Gertrud (Carol Kane), anyway. “We don’t know a lot about his father…”

Here’s the good part – Mr Reubens will play the same role in Gotham season 2. Television panel that Pee Wee Herman will characterize his father in the television series on FOX based on the comic book.
Longtime Batman fans will remember that this isn’t Reubens’ first time playing the Penguin’s dad.
There are a pair of separate highlights to share today when it comes to “Gotham” holding a brand-new panel at New York Comic-Con, and we start with the realm of the Penguin.
Emmy Award victor Paul Reubens created the iconic character “Pee-wee Herman” while a member of the famed Los Angeles improv group The Groundlings. He played the same character in 1992’s Batman Returns, which is saying a few odd things about the continuity of this bonkers show.
For Penguin’s father-Reubens is stepping into familiar ground.
In tonight’s episode of Gotham, Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) and Gordon team-up to make the Gotham City Police Department a law-abiding task force.
Reubens’s casting follows on from the news that Raul Castillo has joined the cast as Eduardo Flamingo, and further adds to Alfred actor Sean Pertwee’s promise that “all hell breaks loose” in season two.
