Paul Ryan: Conflict inside the Republican Party are ‘signs of life’
“You could make the decision”, he said. “I can tell you there’s a very liberal senator that I think he’d do a very good job matching up against if he decides to run for the U.S. Senate”. “2016 is the year America moves on…” He said special interest groups are to blame.”We are losing government by consensus”, he said.

“The Obama years are nearly over”.
“We see a country where our fellow citizens – seven out of 10 of them – think this country is headed in the wrong direction”.
“The world is on fire”, he said.
Ryan said it’s clear the country is sending a message it is fed up with current policies, adding something needs to be done to stimulate the economy and grow the middle class. He also said he wanted to be sure that Ryan sticks to the unity theme outlined on Tuesday, rather than go back to statements that appear to undermine Trump. “This is a man that has the courage of his convictions”.
House Speaker Paul Ryan is a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and stockholder, but he waved a Steelers “Terrible Towel” in Cleveland. “Signs of life. Signs of a party that’s not just going through the motions, not just mouthing new words from the same old stuff”.
House Speaker Paul Ryan did not beat around the bush when he addressed North Carolina delegates to the GOP convention Tuesday. “I won’t get into private conversations but there are things that I just take issue with”.
Then he shifted to Texas football, name-checking several of the major football teams and his own home state powerhouse: “You’ve got Horned Frogs, Aggies”.
“There were over 3 million conservative voters that sat on the sidelines (in 2012)”.
“That’s problematic”, he said, because it “plays into the (media) narrative that we’re divided”. “The Republican ticket provides that brighter future”.
OH is a key state for Republicans in 2016.
“If you win Pennsylvania, you will be the president of the US”, said Gleason. Donald Trump does. Look I know this was a tough primary, tough election but this is a binary choice.
Meanwhile, Ryan claimed the GOP was “the great alternative party”, while largely avoiding any sort of specifics on the “Better Way” agenda that he was expected to discuss in his speech.

He said when Trump spoke to GOP lawmakers in Washington recently, the lawmakers gave him polite applause in welcome.
