House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), a tepid supporter of Donald Trump, met privately with the Republican nominee’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, Monday in NY.

“It was a productive conversation where Ryan spoke about his 2012 experience and Ivanka shared updates about her father’s campaign”.
The meeting, which was requested by Ivanka Trump, took place after Ryan delivered a policy speech at the Economic Club of NY. The House Speaker Ryan delivered there a speech, and daughter of Trump requested a meeting with Ryan to discuss some points of the presidential campaign.
Earlier this month, Chelsea Clinton, the only child of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, began receiving her own personal Secret Service protection. Ryan has also at times publicly condemned some of Trump’s fiery rhetoric.

The Secret Service declined to reveal Ivanka’s code name, though candidates and their family members usually have code names that begin with the same letter; Trump’s code name set is “Mogul“. He eventually did endorse Trump, and the two have met. She has also been involved in policy development, recently pushing her father to unveil a childcare proposal. No reason was given for why Ivanka Trump was given one. “So that train is on the tracks, and I’m hoping we can get that done sooner rather than later”.
