He’s ready to “strongly, enthusiastically, full-throatedly” support Trump – given the Democratic alternative. “Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people”.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. Republican candidate Donald Trump is testing out themes to use against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton as he tries to persuade reluctant members of his party to get behind him for the November 8 presidential election.
“This is not entertainment”. He has a long record that needs to be examined.
Clinton has a higher probability than Trump of becoming the next president, but the gap between the pair narrowed this week, according to the online political stock market PredictIt. “Emphasizing the spectacle and the circus, that’s not something we can afford”, he said.
The contentious primary season may be winding down, but third-party activists are still mulling the possibility of launching an eleventh-hour alternative to a likely Donald Trump-Hillary Clinton matchup in November. Trump told a crowd in SC in February that Ryan doomed the GOP presidential ticket four years ago by saying entitlement programs need reform.
Sixty-two percent of Cruz supporters say they would support Trump against Clinton, while 13 percent say they would back Clinton.
He said that though Trump “was certainly not my first choice … for me as a conservative, it really is a binary choice”. “Their standard bearer at the moment is Donald Trump”, he said.
Former US senator and 1996 Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole has endorsed the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
“Paul’s just being honest”, Priebus said of the House speaker. By the way, he wants to get there. “But the good news is, we’re going to make it greater, greater, greater, greater, greater than ever before”. On Friday, Bush’s disavowal of Trump landed as a bitter blow.
Clinton has been a more subtle media critic for much of the 2016 campaign, suggesting that she is subject to more scrutiny than anyone else and saying that her political press corps is only interested in headlines.
“Part of that is Congress’s ineffectiveness has done a lot to give us Mr. Trump as our nominee because Republicans have felt betrayed that Congress hasn’t done what they promised that they’d do”.
If Clinton has a consistently large lead, Trump won’t get the 90-plus percent of the Republican vote that his predecessor nominees got.
Trump vowed to return to the state as he campaigns in the general election, and vowed his presidency would deliver big benefits for the state’s main industry. Yet, she’s never been asked about her fondness for Trump. That fizzled shortly after the conventions, and most of the Trump opposition within the GOP will as well.
While Bush, who was maligned repeatedly by Trump during his own unsuccessful presidential bid, congratulated his former rival on his presumed accomplishment, he shared several contributing factors behind his decision not to vote for the real estate mogul.
On Thursday, 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and former presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush all said they would be skipping this year’s convention.
“Paul Ryan is the single most effective tool and person to maintain control of the Senate and the House”, said Zwick, who attended a Detroit-area fundraiser with Ryan on Wednesday.
