Paul Ryan Seeks to Re-Frame Election as Left Versus Right
House Speaker Paul Ryan on Friday outlined his case against the candidacy of Hillary Clinton – without mentioning Donald Trump a single time.

Ryan hasn’t withdrawn his endorsement of Trump but he did tell House Republicans Monday that he will no longer defend the nominee and will devote the remainder of the campaign season to helping Republicans in House and Senate races. “I know some people are avoiding making any choice at all”. More broadly, they may ask: What’s the right side of history?
By focusing on tearing down his party, Trump could potentially cost the GOP its House majority and Ryan his job.If that’s the direction he continues to take, the victor of the 2016 election could be the Americans who are least likely to vote – the poor. It’s not simply a matter of whether the GOP is the party of Donald Trump or the party of Paul Ryan.
For his part, Trump has lashed out at the speaker for telling his members Monday morning that he’s done defending the real estate mogul, criticizing him at his rallies and suggesting in an interview on Fox News he won’t be speaker next year.
Amanda Peterson of the Minnesota College Republicans says she’s not disappointed Speaker Ryan failed to address his differences with Trump.
Trump responded by slamming Ryan as a “weak and ineffective leader”.
In return, Trump lashed out at his party and said, “Disloyal R’s (Republicans) are far more hard than Crooked (Democratic candidate) Hillary (Clinton)”.
Since the damning tape was leaked eight Republican senators voiced their opposition to Trump or are withholding support.
Ryan, 46, was his party’s 2012 vice presidential candidate and many think he could run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2020 or beyond.
“What she means is, we are stronger if we are all subject to the state”.
Ryan will also focus on a House GOP policy agenda that Ryan helped craft in hopes of giving Republicans a substantive platform separate from the volatile presidential campaign.
But he told one student to fight elections based on issues and not personalities, in remarks that appeared to be a reference to Trump. Trump has apologized for the comments, denied sexually assaulting anyone, as Ryan and other republicans have blasted his conduct.
“At some point, you have to look in the mirror and recognize that you can not possibly justify support for Trump to your children – especially your daughters”, said Humphreys, who alone has contributed over $2.5 million to the GOP from 2012 through the spring of this year.
“In this cycle, we’ve got Donald Trump, the biggest tail wind we’ve ever had”, Rep. Steve Israel, D-N.Y., former head of House Democrats’ campaign efforts, said in an interview this week. His failure to do so less than a month before election day, after thousands of early votes and absentee ballots have already been cast, is mind-boggling and proves that he is not the conservative champion that so many in the Republican Party have pegged him as.
Spokespersons in both offices said there had been no response and stubbornly refused to say anything else about it, though I have noted on my own that Sessions rationalized it on Fox News Channel as being “overblown” and “not a disqualifying event”.

“He does everything that is politically expedient and then he makes a mistake, his true nature comes out and that is that he never was a Trump supporter and was an establishment supporter”, said Young, a developer from Orange Beach.
