Paul Scholes doesn’t think transfer target Paul Pogba is worth the money
Manchester United will look to finalise a world record £110million transfer of Paul Pogba from Juventus this week. United are willing to make Pogba one of the world’s richest footballers after offering him £210,000 after taxes to come back to his “first family”.

“I just don’t think he is worth 86 million pounds (about $112.75 million)”.
“Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don’t know what is going to happen”, Allegri told reporters ahead of his side’s pre-season clash with Melbourne Victory.
He added: “I just don’t think he is worth £86m”.
While the former Manchester United midfielder believes Pogba is a good player, for the reported fee he believes United should get “a player who will score 50 goals a season”.
Scholes is a fan of Pogba’s abilities but feels such a hefty price tag would suggest he is at the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and he does not believe the France worldwide can be considered as good as the Barcelona and Real Madrid stars just yet.
The eye-watering figures have drawn criticism from former United favourite Paul Scholes who says Pogba simply isn’t worth the money.
“For his age, he was asking for far too much money, too much for a player who hasn’t played first team football”. The German worldwide moved to the Premier League for a reported fee of £20m ($26.2m) and United legend has labelled his capture as a “bargain”.
Indeed, their career crossovers meant that the two Paul’s played together briefly in midfield, leaving Scholes better placed than most to address the situation.

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri strongly suggested that French midfielder Paul Pogba is still a Juventus player and he is confident he’ll stay. “I think he has a lot of injury problems, which could be a problem”, United legend explained. I also think he is a great value for the money Manchester City paid for him.
