Pedro hopes for Chelsea revival after ‘sh*t’ season
FC’s Steve Nicol believes that Chelsea are still vulnerable in the post-Mourinho era despite their win over Sunderland.

Before the unprecedented but anticipated sack of Jose Mourinho, he claimed the players didn’t give their all and accused them of betraying him.
“Absolutely and rightly so as well”, Terry said, with Chelsea only four points above the relegation zone.
“The last 10 years we have had such good times and the fans have supported us through this hard period and we will come out on top, sooner or later, if we keep putting in performances like that”.
The experienced Dutchman said, “I want to get some good insight before I make my decision”.
The responsibility from next Saturday’s match against Watford, until the end of the season, again rests with Guus Hiddink. But step by step – there’s a lot of games over Christmas; if we can go on a good run and climb the table over Christmas, then who knows?
“They were able to play it from left-to-right and through the middle of us, and it’s no excuse that their manager had changed”.
Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic might have had some woeful individual performances earlier this season, but after his recovery from injury, the vice-captain returned to the pitch singing a much improved tune.
Guus Hiddink’s success at Chelsea will depend on his ability to restore the squad’s title-winning mindset, according to Boudewijn Zenden. It is going to be hard to win every game, we know that. “Next season, Chelsea will have a different coach”.
“But up to half-time, it was far too easy for them”. The second half was kind of deflated. “So it was a very important win”.
Sam Allardyce sent on Adam Johnson in place of Sebastian Coates and switched to 4-5-1 midway through the first half, in a bid to turn the tide.
Now Hiddink’s second Chelsea reign begins.
Sam Allardyce has told the Sunderland Echo that he had harsh words for his Sunderland players after their latest 3-1 defeat against Chelsea.

Didier Drogba watched Saturday’s game alongside Hiddink and also visited the players in the dressing room afterwards.
