While he doesn’t want to leave the club, the Spaniard is keen to play more football next season and in the presence of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, the forward is unlikely to feature regularly for the Catalan giants.

After the game, the forward called his transfer situation “complicated” with a possible deal to Manchester United near, but Messi said he’d support Pedro no matter his future plans.

Following reports that Pedro told club technical secretary Robert Fernandez that he wanted to leave, the diminutive attacker denied saying that but admitted to being angry at not starting in the Super Cup final.

“I said at the beginning, the worst would have been unable to identify the team, and we did”.

‘It’s not for money, as has been said – which is another lack of respect.

But he criticised Fernandez for “some very unfortunate declarations”. I want to play. The coach has decided not to count on me.

“I know who I am and I will always be of Barca. Manchester? Yes, there are nice challenges on all sides”, he explained.

“I got the goal but it was down to the work of the team and I am happy with the win”, said Pedro after the match.

“I don’t know what will happen with him, it’s a decision he has to take, but whatever he does he deserves it”. We wish him the best as he has delivered – and is still delivering – for Barcelona. “He’s one of those players who’s great on big occasions. He has that touch where he delivers at the vital point”.

Soon after, back on the pitch, he paced the perimeter with fellow midfielder Sergio Busquets. “I’m here now and I want to enjoy this title”. Just before the half-time break Rafinha scored the third goal for Barcelona.

Do you think Barcelona will need to tighten up their defence if they’re to win the sextuple?
