Netflix has been setting dates for the video-streaming service’s monumental 2016 lineup all week, today the company confirmed the availability date for “Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday”.

The movie was directed by John Lee, and was written by Paul Reubens and Paul Rust. In 2009, Pee-wee started popping up here and there-Conan, Fallon, Leno, Comedy Bang! The movie debuts as an Netflix exclusive movie on March 18th, the same day as the premiere of the second season of Daredevil. “I never really thought of Big Adventure as a family movie, but I didn’t try to make an adult movie or a kid movie”. Reubens and Judd Apatow (Freaks and Geeks, Girls) produced.
Pee-wee’s Big Holiday will feature Pee-Wee taking his first vacation ever after meeting a mysterious stranger. Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday has been in development since 2010, although filming only began a year ago.
The film will premiere at the South By Southwest festival in March.
In addition to Paul Reubens reprising his signature role, the film stars also stars Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Stalker), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
