Manuel Pellegrini has been confirmed as coach of Hebei China Fortune in the CSL.
Pellegrini’s final season in Manchester was blighted by speculation surrounding his future and the eventual announcement of Pep Guardiola as his successor.
Their squad includes Argentina’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year, former Arsenal forward Gervinho and ex-Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta.
The club were reportedly keen to land Roberto Mancini as their first choice, but the Italian seemingly turned down the offer.
Pellegrini’s new side now sit in fifth position in the CSL, five points off the AFC Champions League places with seven games to go.
Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune have appointed former Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, Chinese and British media reported TODAY.
