Pellegrini: Yaya’s focus is on Man City, not his next move

Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk is never too far behind either, and he raised a few eyebrows earlier this month when he appeared to question Pep Guardiola’s credibility as a manager.

Yaya Toure didn’t apparently accept the fact the Guardiola will become Manchester City’s new coach, as reported by the English press.

Toure’s compatriot Wilfried Bony has also been linked with a move away from the Etihad, possibly back to his former club Swansea City. On a few occasions this season, he has struggled to make anywhere near the kind of impact he is capable of making, and that may concern the Citizens, especially given the amount of money they may have to part with to complete a deal.

This one is no different with the midfielder’s agent, Dmitry Seluk, suggesting that he and his client will listen to any potential offers that may come in for the Ivory Coast worldwide, 32, in the summer. “We are ready to listen to each proposal that will come to our table”, he told reporters.

Seluk has moved to fuel the transfer rumours, by insisting-to Sportitalia-that while Toure won’t be going anywhere in January, he could well move in the summer. However in the summer things can change.

“I’m happy at the club, all this speculation is not true”.

The 27-year-old has played second fiddle to Aguero for much of his career at City, having made 27 Premier League appearances since joining last January, 16 of those as a substitute.

Toure, who joined City from Barcelona in a £24million deal in 2010, was left out of the starting line-up for the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
