CT has not voted for a Republican for president since 1988. The wealthy southern coast of CT, made up of tony New York City suburbs, has always been fertile fundraising ground and Trump held an event nearby before the rally.
But Pence wasn’t definitive in an interview with WABC in NY.
Donald Trump’s campaign is on a tear against the media just as his GOP backers are urging him – again – to focus his attacks on his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.
If he were to release his returns before Trump did, it would not be the first time he broke with the top of the ticket.
Earlier in the day Pence had not responded to reporters’ questions about his tax returns.
“This is a very wealthy family – and for her to be leveling the criticisms at Donald Trump that she leveled yesterday for his success, I think … come into high relief”, he said. “But I promise you, when my forms are filed and when my tax returns are released, it’s going to be a quick read”.
In the video above, IndyStar columnist Tim Swarens discusses the dilemma facing Republican candidates this fall, and the latest news from the campaign trail, including Friday’s news that Democrat Hillary Clinton was releasing her 2015 tax returns, while calling on Trump to do the same.
Donald Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, says the Republican presidential candidate will offer “real specifics” this week on how make the country safer.
A spokesman for the IN governor’s office referred all tax-related questions to his vice presidential campaign.
Pence made several campaign appearances Saturday, boosting Indiana Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb, who took the Republican vice presidential nominee’s spot on the state ballot for governor shortly after Pence was tapped.
NBC 6 anchor Jackie Nespral interviews Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“Every president since Richard Nixon, and including Nixon – now he was not known for the most elevated ethical standards”, Kaine said Saturday at a campaign organizing event in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Trump said that he told Brancato: “If I introduce you, with all these cameras, you, with that look, will end up being a movie star”. He said the plan includes major investments in research, infrastructure and helping to train people in advanced manufacturing.
