Pence ends speech, prepares to head to IN rally

Watch the full interview here via 60 Minutes on CBS. Stahl asked Pence if he should disagree with something Trump said, assuming he was Vice president, and would he go in and you say to him he shouldn’t be name-calling.
“And this campaign, and Donald Trump’s candidacy, has been about the issues the American people care about”. PENCE: Donald Trump, this good man.will be a great president of the United States.
“They want leadership in Washington, D.C., that will solve problems”, added Pence, before Trump stepped in to clarify their new team dynamic.
Christie also drew sharp objections from Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner.
“But she’s not?” Stahl asked, referring to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, often criticized by Trump for making the same vote. Trump called Pence “my partner in this campaign” and his first and best choice to join him on a winning Republican presidential ticket.
But while Mr Trump said his choice was partially driven by a desire to promote “party unity”, he took a moment to attack the so-called “Never Trump” delegates attending next week’s Republican National Convention.
Donald Trump: Is that a good thing?
“I’ve found the leader who will help us deliver a safe society, and a really prosperous society, for all Americans”, Trump declared at a campaign event in Manhattan. “Obama’s weak, Hillary’s weak”, Trump tells Stahl.
About 15 minutes later, the Clinton campaign blasted Pence in a statement, describing him as the “most extreme VP pick in a generation”.
He spoke approvingly of Trump’s plan to “temporarily suspend immigration from countries compromised by terrorism”, even though he had expressed distaste in the past for his running mate’s call to temporarily ban Muslim visitors or immigrants.
Trump also said that as president, he would dispatch “very few troops on the ground” to fight the Islamic State in the Middle East.
