Pence: Gennifer Flowers will not be at debate
On Monday Night, candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off for their first general election debate, a primetime event that is expected to shatter viewing records, despite a large number of the Republican’s fans set to be distracted by Monday Night Football, with television executives projecting an audience over 100 million capturing almost the entire universe of likely American voters.

Don’t look for Gennifer Flowers in the audience at Monday’s kickoff presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
After months of anticipation, the first Presidential Debate is finally here. “Cuban being in the front row if his goal is to somehow disrupt the debate; likewise, if Mr. Trump was going to put someone in the front row to try and impact things”.
A day later, on Sunday, his campaign’s top surrogates were forced to waste precious time cleaning up after him-saying, at turns, that Gennifer Flowers hadn’t been invited, that they didn’t expect her to come, and that the entire thing was a lighthearted joke.
The will-she-or-won’t-she attend flap began after Hillary Clinton’s campaign reportedly invited Mark Cuban, a Trump critic and owner of the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks, to the debate.
Flowers has said she had a long-running affair with Clinton when he was governor of Arkansas.
The candidates will take the stage at 9 p.m. EST at Hofstra University in NY. “You mentioned it with respect to the debate, this is a key liability of Hillary Clinton’s”. “It’s a phony system”. Nielsen says close to 81 million viewers watched them face off in 1980. “It’s a very unfair system”, Trump said on Fox News on September 19. The Clinton campaign fears that Trump’s lack of details about his plans has lowered expectations for how well he answers questions from debate moderator Lester Holt.
Conway added, “I can’t believe how easily baited the Clinton campaign was”.

On Saturday, hours after his tweet about Flowers, Trump was on-message as he read a measured political attack on Clinton from a teleprompter at a rally in Roanoke, Virginia, making no mention of the debate.
Sixty-four percent say Trump should release his tax returns. You have to knock on doors.
He cited the various “crises” the country is facing, including “a disappearing middle class, massive levels of income and wealth inequality, the issue of the increase in bigotry we are seeing, climate change, the fact that so many young people are leaving school deeply in debt”.

The poll was conducted among 1,001 adults, including 651 likely voters, Monday through Thursday and has an error rate of 3.5 points for the full sample and 4.5 percent among likely voters. Nearly three in four Americans plan to watch the debate.
