Pence, Kaine joust over Trump’s suggestion Clinton ditch ‘bodyguards’
Like virtually every poll involving two major-party presidential candidates viewed with contempt by a large percentage of the electorate, many voters readily confess they are struggling with their choice this year.

Having benefited from his divide-and-conquer strategy, Trump has been reluctant to leave it, even as he tries to broaden his appeal to skeptical Republicans and independent swing voters who don’t want to be associated with such other questionable Trump fans as David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan leader and current Senate candidate in Louisiana. That operating style did not stop the billionaire developer from vanquishing 16 Republican challengers and capturing the GOP nomination.
“And any suggestion otherwise – regarding Secretary Clinton, just nonsense”, he said.
Recent polls suggest Trump may have benefited in recent weeks by his own newfound discipline and Clinton’s missteps.
Michael Leffler said he had been a Bernie Sanders supporter, not a Trump fan, but as he wrote an email responding to The Dispatch, he quickly switched parties. Her campaign and outside groups helping her have spent about $14 million on general election TV and radio ads through this week, according to Kantar Media’s political ad tracker.
“While the Clintons were pushing this theory, [Trump] was a successful businessman, he was building things”, Conway said on CBS News.
Kaine’s straightforward remarks were made in reference to comments Trump delivered on Friday night, when he said that Secret Service members protecting Clinton should disarm because of her stance on gun control.
Mike Pence in an interview with ABC.
Meanwhile, Trump and his forces jumped on the episode to suggest that she had very serious health problems. About one-third of voters (32 percent) said they believe the country is on the right track. “But Mr. Trump could’ve put this issue to bed a long time ago”, Raddatz said.
“Donald’s now made his position on it clear, which is that after the president presented his birth certificate, Donald has said he was born in the United States, and that’s the end of the issue”, said Christie, appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper on Sunday morning.
He blamed a Clinton aide for saying that Clinton herself pushed questions about Obama’s birthplace during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. He recognized that running for president is not a reality show, it’s serious business. “It’s just not true that he kept it up for five years. It wasn’t like he was talking about it on a regular basis until then [last Friday]”.
But, you know, I’d be willing to forgive Christie for this one maybe. If your campaign believes it’s a smear, shouldn’t Donald Trump apologize to the president? So I mean top 20. “This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate, just like it should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate to peddle a conspiracy theory about the President of the United States for five years”.
And Kaine deflected questions about whether Hillary Clinton’s friend Sidney Blumenthal pushed birtherism quietly on the 2008 campaign trail. Now Christie has experienced soul death and will defend Donald Trump for saying literally anything, in a desperate bid to be the attorney general in the nuclear wasteland Trump leaves behind.

Taking on Twitter early Saturday, Trump explained his latest comment in terms of the right to bear arms: “Crooked Hillary wants to take your 2nd Amendment rights away”.
