Penguins acquire Trevor Daley from Blackhawks for Rob Scuderi
The Blackhawks have traded Trevor Daley to the Penguins for Rob Scuderi.

Daley was more of an offensive defenseman, one coming off a career year in Dallas in terms of goals (16) and assists (22).
Scuderi, who won Stanley Cups with Pittsburgh in 2009 and the Los Angeles Kings in 2012, was a plus-4 while recording four assists in 25 games this season.
The Blackhawks could also end up buying out Scuderi in June, thereby freeing up a bit more cap space, as War on Ice shows. Daley has a cap hit of $3.3 million, and is earning $3.1 million this season and $2.7 million in 2016-17. He didn’t play and a few hours later he was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Scuderi has an annual salary cap hit of $3.375 million, but earns $3 million in actual salary this season and $2.5 million next season. The 32-year-old has missed a handful of games due to injury this season and has failed to record a point since November 21.
Daley was certainly in a different role with the Blackhawks than he was with the Stars.
He was apart of the biggest trade for the Blackhawks of this offseason, but his time in Chicago didn’t last long.

Scuderi, who was originally scheduled to be in the lineup, was a last-minute scratch.
