Penn State football falls to MI in final home game of season

As of this writing, television details are pending, but kickoff at MI Stadium is scheduled for noon ET. Read on for the staff predictions. Jabrill Peppers had five carries for 19 yards. However, this is a much more favorable matchup for the Wolverines than IN was last week.

After a decently strong appearance through the first 30 minutes of play, the second half brought sloppy play, inconsistencies, and several costly mistakes for the Nittany Lions.

It’s not a coincidence that Chesson’s emergence as a scoring threat through the air has happened at the same time that Jake Rudock has gotten into a groove.

Penn State found stability with outside linebacker Brandon Bell, who lived up to his nickname of “big play” during the afternoon.

Penn State’s last ideal record at home came in 2008. Now Duquesne just has to limit its 16 turnovers per game in order to really take that next step.

MI is back to playing MI football. Without him, Penn State will likely use Haley and John Reid to fill the nickel role. Sione Houma and De’Veon Smith also ran for touchdowns for the Wolverines (9-2, 6-1 Big Ten, No. 12 CFP). Franklin is badly in need of a signature win with year two of his regime expected to end with another seven-win season, and an even hotter seat. Aside from the shooting numbers, both teams were evenly matched in most of the remaining influential stat categories; Duquesne only out-rebounded Penn State 42-37, and had only four more turnovers than the Nittany Lions.

Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Christian Hackenberg. They will play at Nebraska next week in search of their first 12-0 regular season. The final score was 28-16 in front of a Beaver Stadium crowd of 107,418. He struggled early in the season while learning the offense and is now thriving, going 51-for-71 passing for 777 yards and nine touchdowns over the past two games.

So far this season Chad is 8-2 picking the results of MI Football games.

The MI Wolverines lead the all-time series against the Penn State Nittany Lions 11-7. The first occasion was an overtime loss to Ohio State last October.

These are two of the top defenses in the conference. Surprisingly, though, MI State’s been letting in more goals than I thought it would. “You’re not going to replace it with just one guy taking a spot”. Bell’s 25-yard return was for naught and Penn State was forced to punt three plays later. Give me a tight end who actually blocks. Where I think the game will be decided is when MI has the ball. Can the Wolverine offensive line open holes and protect Jake Rudock?

But an inability to move the ball on the ground coupled with shoddy special teams play were enough to sink Penn State’s longshot hopes to stay in the Big Ten title hunt. No. 2 Ohio State must beat No. 9 MI State and MI has to beat Penn State for the Wolverines to have a shot at a trip to Indianapolis.
