Penn State receiver Geno Lewis transferring to Oklahoma
Rivals.com rated Lewis as the No. 22 receiver in the 2012 recruiting class. He was a four-star prospect out of Wyoming Valley (Penn.) High School and once held offers from Michigan State, South Carolina and Wisconsin before signing with the Nittany Lions.

“After a long discussion with my family and coaches, I have decided that it would be in my best interest to transfer from Penn State University to pursue my graduate studies and play football with my a year ago of eligibility”, Lewis said in a statement.
“This was not an easy decision but I feel like it is time to move on to the next chapter of my life”, Lewis wrote in a statement today, the first day of the spring semester at Penn State.
Update- Geno Lewis will be transferring to Oklahoma. He finished his Penn State career with 90 catches for 1,181 yards and eight touchdowns. With the graduation of Oklahoma four-year starter Sterling Shepard, Lewis could be poised for a starting position and immediate playing time.
His numbers were down drastically from the season prior. Joining Joe this season is Erin McCarthy, an intern for The Inquirer and a junior at Penn State majoring in print and digital journalism. He had 17 catches, down from 55 in 2014.
