Pennsylvania attorney general to publicly address charges

And for political insiders, this is not a reference to the fact that Ferman is a Republican and Kane is a Democrat.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane will offer her first public response on Wednesday in Harrisburg to the charges pressed against her last week, according to multiple media reports.

Instead, we refer to how these two politically powerful women reacted to serious setbacks.

“How can you function as a top law enforcement official facing a felony charge?” he asked.

In 1993-94, Morganelli successfully prosecuted an unprecedented lawsuit against then Gov. Robert Casey to enforce the state’s death penalty for those convicted of first-degree murder. “It’s really only a very small part of the story”. She did neither. Instead she went about the daily task of upholding the law in Montgomery County. Plus, criminal prosecution arrested her of exposing covert information website content to others designed to question her biased foes. She did not chalk it up as a lesson learned.

Kane is accused of leaking secret grand jury information through an operative to a newspaper reporter as payback for a former state prosecutor she thought made her look bad, and then lying about her actions under oath.

Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele spoke after Kane’s arraignment Saturday on charges including a felony count of perjury.

For all that, she’s in better political shape than Kane, who was arraigned on charges over the weekend – she got a mug shot and everything – and who faces a growing chorus of voices to resign.

Critics calling for her resignation are considering at least two possible scenarios for ousting Kane. “We already had called for Kane to at least take a leave of absence from her post while she was under investigation, but now that she is under indictment, the best thing she could do for the commonwealth is step down altogether”.

Ferman described Kane’s conduct as being “conducted without regard to rules, without regard to the law, and without regard to collateral damage the battle might entail”. He has run for attorney general before, but never successfully.

Office turnover during Kane’s tenure is well-documented. It’s not the first time they butted heads. The attorney general gave one word answers as Rebar advised her of her rights. Fina was the lead investigator in the case. “I can see what they’re doing over there and pay attention to Mr. Freed and everyone else”, said Kane with a laugh. Nevertheless, the lady with being burdened by her dogmatic adversaries, social gathering people, and man prosecutors to stride down her situation.

Kane need not point fingers at Fina, nor any old boys network in Harrisburg.

If the Democratic Party goes down the path of a nominee who has no experience as a prosecutor, Democrats likely will be returning the office to Republicans for another 30 years, Morganelli said.
