Pennsylvania House GOP challenges Senate’s budget package
With agency money running out Saturday, the Senate approved legislation financing government through next Wednesday to give negotiators time to craft a final deal.

The Democrats have been seeking to get Republican leaders, who control both houses of Congress, to take up legislation.
As a Friday deadline looms for Congress to get a new spending bill passed, and avert a government shutdown, lawmakers are trying to push that cutoff to the middle of next week.
