Robbie Chernow, er, enjoys the bachelor weekend’s pre-planned football game surrounded by a plethora of empty seats.

Robbie flew to Chicago yesterday to celebrate his friend Jake’s bachelor party, which was a great idea, until he found out the rest of the party had their flights cancelled, leaving him alone to celebrate the sending off of a friend who wasn’t even present.
According to his posts on Instagram, Chernow, who travelled from New York, was the only partygoer able to make it to the celebrations.
Everyone else in the party was a no-show due to weather issues.
However things went downhill from there, as the next activity involved a boat ride he was forced to endure solo.
So Chernow set off to enjoy the trip solo.
Finally reunited: after more than 40 hours, Jake the bachelor finally made his way to Chicago.
Trying to get back his initial enthusiasm obert went to see another game, but it just wasn’t a cheery affair.
He even took to Tinder to meet some new friends, including a #ChicagoForOne photo and updating his profile to explain his situation. At Portillo’s, a worker named Theresa told him “these sandwiches are normally meant to be shared, but you seem sad enough to finish one by yourself”. After taking a snap in front of Chicgo’s iconic “Cloud Gate” (a large mirrored sculpture by Anish Kapoor), the lonely bachelor made his way to 360 Chicago, a panoramic experience that promises unrivalled views of the city – when it isn’t a foggy day. He was left staring into the cloudy abyss alone.

His inspirational story of persevering through unintended hardship inspired one of Robbie’s friends to start a GoFundMe page for his Chicago adventure. She assures me that ‘the bus will be here soon. “Just you wait”, he captioned on Instagram.
